# Recommended TypeScript

Use this set for TypeScript projects built around pure functions, immutable values, factories, typed Results, and exhaustive matching. It combines language mechanics with shared rules for engineering, review, documentation, and agent context.

**Pack:** `bytefarm/recommended-typescript` · **Version:** `0.1.0`

## Install

With the [npm CLI installed](/getting-started/quick-start.md), run from a project beside a checkout of `thebytefarm/granary` named `granary-packs`. The checkout supplies the pack sources; no build is needed:

```sh
granary add file:../granary-packs/packs#recommended-typescript --output .granary/context/docs/bytefarm
```

## Included packs

This composite installs these five packs in reading order. Open a card to browse that pack's concepts and rules.

[Engineeringbytefarm/engineering — pure domain logic, isolated effects, immutable state, explicit failures, and behavioral tests.](/packs/shared/engineering)[Gitbytefarm/git — scoped commits, focused pull requests, and verification evidence reviewers can trust.](/packs/shared/git)[Documentationbytefarm/documentation — task-oriented writing, portable Markdown, and the right shape for each page.](/packs/shared/documentation)[Agent instructionsbytefarm/agent-instructions — short operating contracts, canonical rules, and task-based context routing.](/packs/shared/agent-instructions)[Functional TypeScriptbytefarm/typescript-functional — declared functions, factories, readonly contracts, typed Results, composition, and JSDoc.](/packs/languages/typescript)

## Use the installed context

Follow the reference links in root `AGENTS.md`. Read the shared engineering rules first, then the topics relevant to your change. TypeScript rules apply to TypeScript source and examples; repository commands and dependency approval come from your project's instructions.

Adding another recommended language set reuses the shared packs. The lockfile pins the source revision and file integrity; `granary install` restores the same context.
